Ag & Adventure is a way for me to share my two greatest loves with the world.

If you don't know me my name is Michelle and I am an agricultural communicator by trade and an adventurer at heart.

When I was in college I wanted to be a veterinarian because of my love for animals. However I quickly found out I did not love science, which is a slight problem for a budding vet. But my Animal Science Pre-Vet classes had brought me to agriculture which I loved. I wasn't sure where I fit in the world if I wasn't going to be a veterinarian, but a sweet and patient advisor told me I did not have to be a vet to work with animals. So I became an agricultural communications student. I felt at home immediately and found my calling. I love sharing the stories of farmers and ranchers.

I grew up in the woods - literally and figuratively. My father took me outdoors every chance he got and I loved it. Whether we were fishing, hunting, working or just enjoying nature I was happiest when outside.

Through opportunities I was given as a child and while in college I also knew I loved traveling and being outdoors. In college I made the decision to try to hit all 50 states by the time I was 30. Years later and I am not far from my goal.

Recently I found a passion for different outdoor activities - disc golf, hiking, kayaking and others. For the longest times I thought these were two different things I was passionate about agriculture and adventure, but I have realized they intersect constantly and they have both led me to where I am today.

So here you will hear and learn about agriculture and my outdoor adventures. You will see travels all across the US (and hopefully elsewhere soon), but you will also see me enjoying the outdoors in my home state, which is fittingly the Natural State. Thanks for joining me on the adventure I hope you enjoy the ride!
